Assignment 2
My Plan:
Emma and I are going to Sutherland Farms so I am going to take pictures of her in the corn maze since it is tan/yellow and her hair is blonde.
My Shoot
For this shoot I took pictures of Emma at Sutherland Farms in the corn maze. This was really fun. The corn maze went perfectly with my theme. The sunlight was perfect too. It came through the corn with cool shadows and made the leaves light. I really like how the pictures just have the corn in the background.
My Edits
I like my edits because they don't look too different from the original picture and that is what I was going for. I am really loving the neutral look. In my edits I tried to turn down the highlights and whites because they were a little over exposed. I also tried to edit each photo a different shade of neutral. I wanted one really light one and one sorta dark one.
Final
This is a photo of my best friend Emma. In this photo she is looking at the camera, with a sort of downward look because the sun is bright. She is standing in a corn maze and the corn is the perfect light yellow color. It matches her blonde hair. She is wearing a white sweater and her skin color is also neutral. An Element of Art in this photo would be texture because of the corn in the background and also her curly hair. A Principle of Design in this photo is unity because all of the colors in go together very well. The idea was to take some fall themed photos in a pumpkin patch/corn maze, which was accomplished. Although, the theme had to remain neutral, so I chose the photos from the corn maze because of the color of the corn. Overall, I really like the way these photos turned out, particularly this one. I love how neutral it is, it is so yellow. Somewhere it could improve is the way its framed, I could crop or frame my photos better.
